We’re at it again. Earlier this month we started out our countdown to Roskilde Festival 2014 by listening to We Are The Way For The Cosmos To Know Itself’s recommendations, which featured I Break Horses, Deerhunter and Denmark’s very own Slowolf.
This time we discover the Roskilde ’14 program along with help from Heimatt. If you don’t know them by know they’re a Danish group consisting of four members. Heimatt plays acoustic music carried primarily by violins, tambourines and – of course – acoustic guitars.
Roskilde Festival present this exciting Danish act with comparisons to Mumford & Sons among others. But at times it’s a whole different experience, they’re looking forward to at this years Roskilde. That brings us to the three recommended acts by Heimatt:
Hymns From Nineveh
A name most of Denmark has come familiar with in recent years, culminating with ‘A Kid On The Beach’ which became a huge track last year. Behind is Jonas Petersen whose folk pop will definitely attract a big audience in Roskilde this summer.
And now to a whole different sound area. But who isn’t really looking forward to this one? And do they even need an introduction? Just be there.
The Awesome Welles
From one of the biggest names in the game to an upcoming act. The Awesome Welles is a Roskilde Rising act. This Copenhagen-based group’s rock features comparisons to none other than The National and Interpol.
